NCLEX RN Exam Day Tips and Advice on Exam Day

Wanted to provide you information about the NCLEX. After hours of research I have figured out how to tell if you are doing well on the NCLEX.

As some of you may know the NCLEX is trying to get you passed a certain threshold which they call 95 % Confidence Interval rule. This basically means that it tests you until the tests thinks that you have enough knowledge to obtain your license, that means you can get 75 questions or 145 questions. That means the questions will get increasingly more difficult until you meet a certain knowledge base.

This also means that you can tell if you are doing well on the test based on the questions it asks you. When the NCLEX asks you a lot of prioritization and SATA questions that means you are doing well as it is trying to make the test challenging in order to assess your level of knowledge.

Lets talk more about Prioritization questions. These are one of the most single choice answer question the NCLEX has. The more of these questions you get, the more the test is trying to challenge your knowledge which is a good sign. However these can be tricky because if they are simple ones, that means the test is trying to evaluate your foundational knowledge.

The NCLEX will give you SATA “Select All That Apply” questions when you are above the passing range in order to test your knowledge.

Apparently 25 SATA questions are the maximum they can give you. If they give you this many it is a good sign.
